Dorothy M. (Green) Haase, 86, former resident of St. George, died Wednesday in Winchester.

The family provided some of the following information.

Dorothy was born December 23, 1927 in Oak Grove, Mo., to Thomas and Jesse (Sanders) Green.  Dorothy attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo., where she met her husband Wilburn; they were married July 1, 1946.

Dorothy was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as teaching Sunday School. Dorothy was a seamstress at J.C. Penney in Manhattan and retired in 1989. Dorothy was a member of Bible Baptist Church (formerly named) of Wamego until relocating to Oskaloosa and the surrounding area.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Ernie and Loretta Haase of McLouth and Bruce A. Haase, Sr., of Lawrence; four daughters, Edie and Jim Turner of Centerview, Mo., Bonnie and Wayne Dugan of Perry, Wanda and Rob Cockerill of St. George, and Kara and Jim Mooney of Booneville, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wilburn F. Haase, Sr.; a son, Wilburn F. Haase, Jr.; and a daughter, Winifred Haase; and one brother.

Services will be Tuesday at Lakin Funeral Home, 501 N Elm St. in Pierce City, Mo. Following the service, Dorothy will be laid to rest at Jolly Bethel Cemetery in Pierce City, Mo., with her husband and children.
