After two rounds at the Martis Camp Club in Truckee, California, Cole Dillon’s week in the U.S. Junior Amateur championship came to an end, as the tournament field was cut from 156 to 64 in time for Wednesday’s first round of match play.
Dillon shot a 4-over-par 76 both days to finish tied for 69th place on the leaderboard with a two-day total of 152. The junior-to-be at Manhattan High missed the cut by a stroke, as several players shooting a 151 were included after tiebreakers in the 64-man field going forward.
The top golfer, Jim Liu from Smithtown, N.Y., finished with a two-day total of 136, 8-under par.
