Coynes win Budweiser Open

Chris and Paul Coyne birdied the second playoff hole to win the 22nd Annual Budweiser Open at Stagg Hill Golf Club this past Sunday.

They shot 14-under par in the two-man scramble, finishing with a scored of 123. They beat Matt Bigham and RJ Trumbley in a playoff to win the championship flight. Mark Sears and Scott Sears were third at 125.

Darren Thorson had a hole-in-one on the 17th hole Saturday. Steve Williams scored a double eagle on the 18th hole on Sunday.

Greg and Taylor Fagan shot 128 to win the first flight, while Scott Brelsford and Cody Glidden were second and Matt Gourlay and Scott Wempe took third.

Tyler and Toni Dillon took first in the second flight with 131, while Damon Dupont and Troy Dusenberry were second and Michael Burkhead and Steve Maki were third.

The third flight was won by Scott Schwarting and Michael Wiley with a score of 137. Chris Gruber and Williams were second and Matt Leitnaker and Nacy Leitnaker were third.

Mike Boys and Emil Scherlocker took the fourth flight with a score of 142. Tom and Thomas Glynn were second and Dennis Cook and Bob Kunz were third.

Bob Bramhall and Lance Luftman were first in the fifth flight, while Voctor Amburgey and Chuck Heinz were second and Greg Hackborn and Mike Marks were third.
