Couple hit by ricochets at Ogden gun range

By Katherine Wartell

A couple was hit by ricochets from bullets, though they were not seriously injured, while visiting Ogden’s Best Gun Range, 215 Riley Ave., on Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Josh Kyle said Logan Johnson, 24, a Fort Riley soldier from Milford, reported that while he and his wife were shooting, he felt pain in his torso while Tiffany Johnson, 22, felt a sharp sting in her arm.

They determined they were hit by bullet fragments, but Kyle said the couple continued shooting. He said Logan Johnson later decided to go to Irwin Army Hospital, where staff contacted police, who filed an information report.

Kyle said no crimes were committed and that the ricochets most likely came from someone else firing near them.
