County voters deserve trust of commissioners

By The Mercury

To the Editor:

A few friends have asked me to express my opinion about the Riley County commissioners not trusting the voters to approve new buildings.

Looking at the past,  the voters won 25 issues and lost one. This is an excellent record.

The county commissioners do not seem very knowledgeable on this issue. I would suggest that they review the voters’ record of winning issues in the past.

Each county commissioner will be up for re-election n the next two to four years. I would suggest that the voters elect three new commissioners who truly represent the people of Riley County.
