County commissioners: Stop this end run around voters

To the Editor:
Commissioners, help me get this straight. State law mandates that if you want to spend more than $300,000 on a project, you need voter approval. Appoint yourselves to a building com-mission and you don’t need to go through all of that, and voters don’t even get to decide. Is that about right?
