Community effort has been invaluable to Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum

To the Editor:

Education and fun rolled into one! The Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum has made exceptional progress in recent months, all thanks to the support and continuous generosity of various people and places in the Manhattan community.

As the school year rolls around, new exhibits, activities, programs and renovations to the Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum have been completed. Our goal is to develop self-reliant children, families and community members through hands-on activities, programs and exhibits. We are so excited to begin this next year. We could not have done it without everyone’s special support.

A huge thank-you goes to all who have helped to put this inspiring children’s museum together. A special thank-you goes to Bob’s Plumbing, the Caroline Peine Foundation, Frederick Bramlage, Bethel A.M.E. Church, Larry Weaver, Ruth McCullough, Venture Placement Services, the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, the Manhattan-Riley County Preservation Alliance, Lee Creek Gardens, Olivia Collins, Peggy Flouer, Jack and Susan Oviatt, Cheryl and Ronnie Grice, Ana Franklin, Kaw Valley Greenhouses, the Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum board of directors and a number of other contributions —some financial and others through volunteering their time.

Thank you again for all of the continued support. The Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum would not be the same without you.
