City limits game-day parking

The city of Manhattan has implemented a new parking ordinance addressing access, congestion, and safety during Kansas State University football games on Saturdays this fall.

The ordinance will prohibit or limit parking on several streets near Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

City manager Ron Fehr has also designated areas where property owners are permitted to allow temporary parking in the front yard.

Front yard parking has also been allowed on property where the front yard faces a four-lane street, such as on Kimball Avenue.

Parking is restricted or prohibited and tow zones established along Hobbs Drive, Himes Road, Vaughn Drive, Ranser Road,  Cassell Road, Kenmar Drive, Winne Drive, Sunny Circle, Meade Circle, Parkway Drive,Hillview Drive, Snowbird Drive, and Skyler Circle.

On most streets, parking is allowed on at least one side, but Skyler Circle parking is prohibited on both side.
