Cindy Jo Petty

Cindy Jo Petty, 61, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Cumming, Ga. after a battle with cancer.

The family provided the following information.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1953, in Chanute, the daughter of Arthur Ray and Alberta Petty. The family moved to Manhattan in 1961 and Cindy graduated from Manhattan High School in 1971.

She married Mark Hardie and they were blessed with a son, Tony.

On July 14, 1978, she married her husband, David Easoz, who survives of the home.

She is also survived by her two sons, Jeremy Easoz of Cumming and Tony Hardie and his wife, Michelle, along with three grandchildren: Aerial, Logan, and Kayla Hardie, all of Wamego.

Other survivors are a brother, Phillip Petty and wife Thesa; nieces Kelsey Currie and husband Tucker, and Laura Petty; one great niece, Violet Currie, all of Manhattan; one sister, Linda Hume of St. George; and one nephew, Joseph Hume and wife Jennifer, of Manhattan.

Cindy worked at Tyson Foods in Cumming for 20 years.

Cindy loved Christmas and was known to put up decorations two months ahead of time. She looked forward to garage selling and eating out with her good friend, Cathy.

Her passion was reading and traveling through the beautiful Carolina mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jimmy Lee, and a niece, Amber Petty.

A private inurnment was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in St. George.
