Chorus looking for singers

Handel’s “Messiah” will be performed in 2014 by the Flint Hills Chorus in the Wamego regional area for the 23rd time, and the committee is looking for people to sing in the chorus.

The performance will be at 2 p.m. on April 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Wamego.

Several Flint Hills Chorus members have adopted the orchestral musicians and paid their fee for rehearsals and performance. Rehearsals will be at the First United Methodist Church, 600 Lincoln in Wamego.

Dates and times for the rehearsals are 2 p.m. on Jan. 5, 12 and 19, Feb. 2, 9 and 23, and March 2, 9 and 23.

The first dress rehearsal will be from 1 to 5 p.m. March 30 with the orchestra. The second dress rehearsal will be from 1 to 5 p.m. April 5 with orchestra, followed by a soup supper in Fellowship Hall OF the First United Methodist Church.

“Messiah” chorus books will be available for purchase at rehearsals for those who don’t already have one.
