A celebration of the 100th anniversary of an official partnership between the Boy Scouts of America and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will be held in Manhattan Wednesday night.

Guests can view a multimedia presentation, “A Century of Honor” – sponsored by the national and regional boards of the BSA and the LDS Church – that will be staged in the 21,000-seat LDS conference center in Salt Lake City. It will feature original music, historical re-enactments, videos, special guests and hundreds of scouts.

The 85-minute tribute to scouting and a local program on scouting is scheduled at the LDS Church, 2821 Marlatt Avenue, at 6:30 p.m.

There will be refreshments served and the public is invited.

Local scout troops have set up tour displays for the evening, including a wall to honor 100 Eagle Scouts from the Manhattan area.
