Cats’ Yonke opens Cowboy Classic strong

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Senior co-captain Curtis Yonke sits in a three-way tie for first place as the K-State men’s golf team finished the first round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic fourth at the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Club.

The Wildcats carded a 23-over 303 on Monday, as they head into todays’ second round.

Yonke carded an even-par 70 on Monday to end the day tied for the lead with Glen Scher of UC Santa Barbara and Louis Cohen Boyer of Wichita State.
