The Kansas State men’s basketball team has won nine in a row, including a 74-71 victory over then-No. 6 Oklahoma State this past weekend.

On Monday, the Wildcats were rewarded, earning their first Top 25 ranking of the season, checking in at No. 25 in the Associated Press poll. K-State is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

K-State (11-3) is looking to make it 10 straight wins tonight when the Wildcats face TCU at 7 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas. A win tonight, coupled with a Jayhawks win at Oklahoma on Wednesday, could set up a pretty significant matchup this Saturday against Kansas in Lawrence, a place where K-State hasn’t won since the 2005-06 season.

The Wildcats are one of five teams from the Big 12 ranked in the AP Top 25, including No. 7 Baylor, No. 9 Iowa State, No. 11 Oklahoma State and No. 18 Kansas. Wichita State, however, continues to be the highest ranked team in the state, coming in at No. 6 on Monday with its perfect 15-0 record.
