Cats pick up commitment from RB

By The Mercury

Kansas State added a running back to its 2015 class on Monday, getting a commitment from Kalin Heath.

The Cartersville, Ga., running back is rated as a three-star athlete by both Rivals and 24/7 Sports.

At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Heath is listed by both as an athlete.

Heath, who was primarily recruited by wide receivers coach Andre Coleman, reportedly runs between a 4.5 and 4.6 40-yard dash.

Louisville was believed to be his top choice before he announced his commitment this week.

“After a hard talk with my family and praying to my savior, I have came to my decision,” Heath said on his Facebook page. “Thank u all school for being kind but I wanna be a Wildcat.”

Heath has 13 offers in total, including Louisville,  Cincinnati, Indiana, Marshall, Memphis, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee State and Washington State, among BCS-level programs.

Considered to be the 135th-best prospect in Georgia and the 114th-best athlete in the country, Heath’s commitment gives the Wildcats five for the 2015 recruiting class — all five of which come from the offensive side of the ball.
