Cats lose home opener, 60-58

The Kansas State men’s basketball team lost its season opener on Friday, 60-58 to Northern Colorado at Bramlage Coliseum.
Wesley Iwundu led the Wildcats with 14 points, while DJ Johnson finished with 12. Derrick Braden scored 16 and Tate Unruh had 14 for the Bears.
It was the third straight loss for the defending Big 12 champions, dating back to last year’s losses in the Big 12 tournament final and the second round of the NCAA tournament.
