Kansas State lost its second straight game on Friday, and this time it wasn’t even close.
The Wildcats fell to Georgetown 90-63 in Friday’s consolation round of the Puerto Rico Tip Off, mercilessly dropping K-State to the seventh place game against VCU or Long Beach State on Sunday.
K-State (2-3) fell behind early in the first half, and looked defenseless as the Hoyas took advantage of the Wildcats’ lack of size and depth in the post. Georgetown led 45-28 by halftime.
Thomas Gipson led K-State with 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Marcus Foster had 16 points and six rebounds and Will Spradling scored 12 points. If K-State plays Long Beach State on Sunday, it will be the second time the two teams have met this year.
