Cats defeat West Virginia, 78-56

With a pair of 20-point scoring efforts from Shane Southwell and Thomas Gipson, the Kansas State men’s basketball team eased past West Virginia on Saturday, 78-56, at Bramlage Coliseum.

The Wildcats (14-4, 4-1) led 37-24 at halftime, and came out on fire with an early 10-0 scoring run to lead by as much as 25 points.

Along with the scoring efforts from Southwell and Gipson, Marcus Foster scored 15 points. Eron Harris had 21 for West Virginia and Juwan Staten scored 16.
