Tomorrow is Election Day, and we urge voters who are prepared — those who are informed about the candidates and the issues — to vote.
There have been ample opportunities to learn about local candidates, from a series of public forums to the canvassing candidates have done to Mercury news coverage.
We hope for a heavy turnout of informed voters. Light turnout can give small minorities excessive influence, but that’s probably preferable to heavy turnout if voters who haven’t been paying attention to the campaigns pad the numbers.
If you don’t care, please don’t vote — and then don’t complain. But if you care, and we hope you do, please vote.
