To the Editor:
Rep. Sydney Carlin of the 66th District voted against what she considered to be harmful tax legislation. She voted against lowering the state income tax because, as she said at the time, “Income tax accounts for nearly half of our state revenues. We cannot afford to eliminate half of our revenue and meet all of our obligations to school children, the disabled and those who depend upon essential state services.”
