Car pulled from Tuttle Creek

By The Mercury

A car was pulled from the Stockdale Park boat ramp at Tuttle Creek after it rolled into the lake Sunday evening.

Officer Matthew Droge said the vehicle, which had been parked on the ramp, slipped into gear and rolled into the water at about 10 p.m. Sunday, closing the area until workers could extract the car from the lake.

The car was not occupied at the time of the incident and there were no injuries.

The area was closed, Droge said, so no other vehicles would be damaged while it was extracted.

The owner of the car is reportedly from Riley, but at the time of publication police only had preliminary information.
