Butcher opens satellite in Belvue

Fulmer’s Kansas Premium Meats and Eatery in Belvue will open a retail meat store and eatery on US Highway 24 in Belvue.

The new location will be at 22580 U.S. Hwy 24, east of Wamego.

In addition to offering cuts of beef, chicken, pork, buffalo and elk; the store will also offer prepared food to dine in or take home.

The meat store offers pre-packaged cuts as well as special orders up to whole sides of beef.

The eatery, will offer a variety of meat entrees with potato salad or chips as a side.

Fountain drinks will also be available.

Co-owner Amber Fulmer said the store will have three tables for patrons to come and have a bite to eat, or they can take the order home.

The eatery will offer items like hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork sandwiches and bierocks.

The grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m.

Fulmer said their store offers locally raised beef and homemade eats.

Normal hours of operation for the new location will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The store and eatery will be closed Sundays.

The main store is at the Fulmer’s farm, just outside Belvue.
