K-State men’s basketball head coach Bruce Weber has announced his 2014 summer camp schedule for area youths on the university campus.
The 2005 National Coach of the Year, along with his coaching staff, will direct these summer camps, which begin with the first of two Father/Son Camps (grades K-6th) on Friday-Saturday, June 6-7.
The camp season continues with another Father/Son Camp (grades K-6th) on Saturday-Sunday, June 7-8, the Junior Wildcat (grades K-2nd) and Wildcat (grades 3rd-6th) Day Camps on Monday-Thursday, June 9-12, the Powercat Day Camp (grades 4th-9th) on Monday-Thursday, June 16-19 and concludes with a two-day Team Camp on Friday-Saturday, June 27-28.
All camps will be played at Bramlage Coliseum and the Basketball Training Facility on the K-State campus. Space is limited. The cost is $225 per pair and $100 for each additional child.
The three day camps — Junior Wildcat, Wildcat and Powercat — are open to youth in kindergarten through sixth grade. The Junior Wildcat Day Camp, which runs from Monday-Thursday, June 9-12 from 9 a.m. to noon, is available to kids in kindergarten through second grade at a cost of $105 per camper. The Wildcat Day Camp, which runs from Monday-Thursday, June 9-12 from 1-5 p.m., is open to youngsters in third through sixth grade at a cost of $120 per camper. The Powercat Day Camp, which runs Monday-Thursday, June 16-19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is available to youth in fourth through ninth grade at a cost of $175 per camper.
The two-day Team Camp runs from Friday-Saturday, June 27-28 is open to any and all high school teams of varsity, junior varsity or freshmen levels with a minimum of seven players per team. Meals and T-shirts will be provided to the campers and coaches, while teams are guaranteed a minimum of five games plus a single elimination playoff. There will be a chat session for coaches with Weber and his staff on Friday followed by a coaches’ social. The cost is $110 per person for overnight campers and $85 for commuters.
