Brown part of Eagles’ record day

Staff reports

Bryce Brown got into the action for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, while their quarterback was busy throwing seven touchdown passes.

The short-lived Wildcat running back rushed seven times for 54 yards and caught one pass from Nick Foles for 6 yards as the Eagles defeated the Oakland Raiders 49-20.

Brown has rushed for 152 yards this season on 45 carries and is nearing the 1,000-yard mark for his career with 716 yards.

Baltimore linebacker Arthur Brown played Sunday in the Ravens’ 24-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but didn’t record any stats. After dealing with an injury early in the year, Brown has seen the field more lately, but still has just five tackles all year.

Former All-American running back Darren Sproles caught one pass for 2 yards for the New Orleans Saints before leaving the game with a concussion. The Saints lost 26-20 to the New York Jets.

Sproles has 118 rushing yards and a touchdown and has 368 receiving yards and a touchdown this season.

Linebacker Reggie Walker had one tackle for the San Diego Chargers in a 30-24 overtime loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Walker has 23 tackles and two sacks for the Chargers this season.

Rob Jackson had two tackles and a sack for the Redskins, as he continues to have a solid year since coming back from a suspension to start the season. Jackson has two sacks and an interception in just four games.

Receivers Jordy Nelson and Chris Harper will be in action tonight as their Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears.
