Bryce Brown, who played briefly for Kansas State this fall before quitting the team, filed for early entry for the NFL draft.
ESPN reported Friday that the running back is “strongly leaning” toward turning pro.
The running back left school and Manhattan some time ago during the football season after walking away from the program following the Wildcats’ win at Miami on Sept. 24.
Brown transferred to K-State after one seaon at Tennessee when he rushed for 460 yards as a freshman. He sat out last season due to transfer rules.
Only four options remain for Brown at this point — hope for a future in the NFL, return to school today, quit football altogether, or transfer to another school.
Brown rushed three times for 16 yards, including a fumble, this season.
