Broussard leads pack at Colbert Classic

Anthony Broussard picked up two eagles on Wednesday, on the way to finishing 5-under par to lead after one round at the Colbert Charity Classic at Colbert Hills.

The Beaumont, Texas, native eagled the first hole of the course, a par-5, and later added an eagle on the par-4 13th — finishing the day with a 67 to sit atop the leaderboard of the Adams Golf Pro Tour series tournament.

Four different players were tied for second after the first-round action, as Case Cochran, Matt Boyd, Christopher E. Brown and Michael Parker each finished 4-under-par. Ryan Baca shot 3-under to sit in sixth, while three players were tied for seventh at 2-under-par.

The tournament resumed today with the second round, and will conclude with rounds on Friday and Saturday.
