A 14-year-old Manhattan boy was detained by RCPD officers for aggravated endangering of a child for allegedly giving another student a prescription medication.

Lt. Josh Kyle said Riley County EMS responded Wednesday to Eisenhower Middle School, 800 Walters Dr., for a report of a student having medical problems.

He said the student was taken to Mercy Regional Health Center and school officials discovered that the student had been given prescription medication by another student.

After an investigation on Thursday, officers detained the 14-year-old boy and later released him to his parents.
