Boy detained for battery

By The Mercury

A 16-year-old Leonardville boy was placed in foster care Sunday after Riley County officers detained him for battery against a family member.

Officer Matthew Droge said Tyler Temaat was taken into custody at his Leonardville home Sunday evening after police were called to the residence for reports of a fight between Temaat and his father.

Droge said Temaat was detained without bond at Geary County Juvenile Detention Center before he was placed with foster care.
