Barbara Lee Kelly, 69, of Manhattan, died Wednesday, at Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

She was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Salina. She was the daughter of Robert J. and Anita (Railsback) Kelly.

Barbara grew up in Salina and graduated from then Marymount College in Salina.

She worked at the Kansas State University Veterinary College as a microbiologist in the diagnostic laboratory. Following her retirement she worked part-time for the Kansas Department of Fish and Wildlife at the Tuttle Creek State Park River Pond area.

Barbara was an active supporter of sewing for babies. She enjoyed crafts, camping at Tuttle Cove and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Bob Kelly and his wife Susan of Salina.

Cremation is planned.
