To the Editor:
Last week I was in Chattanooga, Tenn. My wife was at a bridge tournament and I was touring the sites. I was wearing my purple K-State jacket and purple K-State hat. I was at the Battles for Chattanooga on Lookout Mountain overlooking the beautiful Tennessee River.
Suddenly a museum docent walked up to me and said, “Oh, Kansas State. You’re Snyder, right? But I don’t remember your first name. Oh, it’s Bill, isn’t it?”
I told him that I was from Manhattan, Kan., and a K-State enthusiast, but that no matter how much he argued with me, I was not Bill Snyder.
I would like to think that my dedication to 41 years of teaching eighth-graders is equal to Snyder’s dedication to football.
