Members of the board of directors of the Kansas Arts Foundation were to meet in Liberal Tuesday to review the grants and awards application process.

Linda Browning Weis, who is president of the foundation, said members of the 20-person volunteer board were involved in raising private funds for an endowment that will “support innovative Kansas arts programs education, grants and other services.” She said more than 400 contributors have committed support since the foundation was founded in February of 2011.

Among those taking part will be Mark Knackendoffel, of Manhattan, who chairs the foundation’s fund-raising and budgeting effort.
