Arrest in past burglary

A Manhattan man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a past burglary at a residence on Poyntz Avenue.

Konrad Kelson, 18, 3017 Sunnyside Drive, was arrested by officers with the Riley County Police Department’s Investigation Division for allegedly burglarizing 1919 Poyntz Ave. sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 3.

It is alleged that Kelson forcibly entered the residence of Robert Sager, 62, and stole a watch and cash, as well as what Kyle identified as a financial instrument worth $10,000. The total loss from the burglary was about $18,700.

Kelson was arrested for making false writing, burglary to a dwelling and misdemeanor theft. He has since been released from the Riley County Jail on $5,500 bond.
