Anthony falls to Junction City

The Anthony Middle School eighth grade girls’ basketball team lost to Junction City on Tuesday, 31-28, falling to 2-1 on the season.

Kenzie Smith led the way with eight points and three rebounds for AMS. Ayanna Gamble added six points and four rebounds and Megan Klug scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds.

The AMS B team won its game, 27-15, to improve to 1-2 this season.

Dawn McNabb scored 18 points to lead the way for AMS. Kelsea McDiffett scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Bella Hager had two points and five rebounds.

AMS will play Thursday at home against Washburn Rural.
