AMS beats Fort Riley 49-20

The Anthony Middle School football team defeated Fort Riley on Tuesday, 49-20.

Anthony opened the game with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Braedyn Woborny to Mason Wallace, and a two-point conversion run from Zephry Killham.

Chance Andrade returned a punt 55 yards for a score, and Woborny and Wallace hooked up on the two-point conversion. Wallace had a 19-yard touchdown run at the end of the first quarter.

Woborny hit Wallace for a 40-yard score in the second quarter, with an extra point from Andrew Scott. Andrade had a 53-yard touchdown run to make the score 36-0 at halftime.

Wallace opened the second half with a 30-yard pass to Andrade, and Fort Riley scored twice with long runs.

CJ Lowery scored on a 4-yard run for Anthony, and Fort Riley returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown.

Anthony will host Junction City next Tuesday.
