Americans must demand civility from elected leaders

To the Editor:
Civility is a noun that can be defined as: “Formal politeness and courtesy in behavior or speech.” The rhetoric sur-rounding the consequences of sequestration may have been either blatantly exaggerated or disastrously ignored by elected officials.
