Airport to announce added service

By The Mercury

Manhattan airport officials on Tuesday will announce the expansion of commercial air service to the city, according to information released Friday.

Manhattan Regional Airport will have a press conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday in its passenger terminal to announce the new offering. The public is invited to attend.

Officials would not comment on the exact nature of the expansion, but officials have previously expressed interest in securing regular commercial flights to other cities, such as Denver.

American Eagle currently provides three flights a day to Dallas and two flights a day to Chicago from Manhattan. Previously, Manhattan has had flights to Kansas City and Denver.
