A Kansas State assistant professor reported that he was allegedly threatened by a pick-up truck while running in the 10K Mercy Wild Run race Saturday morning.

Daniel Boyle, research assistant professor of biology, reported that as he crossed the intersection of Poyntz Avenue and 14th Street, he accidently ran into the side of a pick-up truck driving through it.

Lt. Josh Kyle said the driver of the truck then stopped and backed up, while Boyle continued running. Boyle reported that on two separate occasions following the run-in, he narrowly missed getting hit the by truck, whose driver was yelling obscenities at him. He reported that he believed the driver was trying to hit him.
