Aggravated assault reported

By Katherine Wartell

RCPD officers arrested a Manhattan woman after responding to reports that she allegedly threatened someone known to her with a knife Tuesday morning.

Officers arrested Tanya Wright, 49, 2521 Brockman St., after they responded to her residence for reports of a domestic disturbance, Lt. Josh Kyle said. He said Wright allegedly threatened her victim with a knife, but the victim was not physically harmed. Because it was a domestic incident, the victim’s name and relationship to Wright are being withheld, Kyle said.

Wright was released from the Riley County Jail on $1,000 bond.
