Accident sends two to hospital

An accident that occurred at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday at College Avenue and Claflin Road caused two men to be sent to Mercy Regional Health Center for treatment of neck pain. Authorities said Steven Prockish, 64, 1416 Cambridge Pl., was driving his 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer eastbound on Claflin when he ran a red light at College and T-boned a 2007 Pontiac G6, which was traveling northbound on College.

The car was driven by Thomas Wittkoph, 30, 836 Church Ave., who suffered no injuries.

Prockish and his passenger, Norton Logan, 59, 1513 Oxford Pl., had neck pain. Prockish received a citation for failure to stop at a red light.
