Forty-five motorists were stopped over the weekend as a part of the Riley County Police Department’s first DUI Saturation Patrol conducted this year.
The patrol began Saturday evening and lasted into the early morning hours on Sunday.
Officials said of the 45 motorists, one was arrested for a DUI, seven were cited for traffic infractions and 41 were issued warnings.
Five officers were assigned to the patrol, using funds from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The patrol was the first in a series of six. The next patrol is on May 17.
Officers involved in the Saturation Patrol will be looking for signs of impaired driving and other traffic violations.
