Three people were injured following a head-on collision on Highway 77 Sunday night.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, the accident occurred about 2 miles north of Highway U.S. 24 just before 9 p.m. Sunday. Reportedly, Larissa Gibb, 31, Lee’s Summit, Mo., traveling north, drove her 2009 Nissan Versa 2009 into oncoming traffic, hitting a 1987 Chevrolet pick-up truck head-on as the truck was straddling the shoulder and road trying to avoid Gibb’s vehicle.
Gibb and the two occupants of the truck, Loren Gray, 64, and Ningbo Li, 32, both of Manhattan, were hospitalized.
Emergency responders transported Gibbs to Stormont Vail in Topeka, while Gray and Li were taken to Mercy Regional Health Center.
None of their injuries were listed as disabling.
