25 arrested during festival

Officials said they are still collecting crime statistics from the 2013 Country Stampede but announced Wednesday afternoon that 25 people were arrested over the course of the event.

Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat said 14 females and 11 males were taken into the custody of the Pottawatomie County Jail over the weekend.

The four-day event was monitored with a joint effort by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism, the Riley County Police Department and the Kansas Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
