11 Indians sign letters of intent

With student-athletes faxing in letters of intent to schools all over the country, 11 athletes at Manhattan High School got in the action Wednesday morning.

Five football players from Joe Schartz’s team made commitments.

Devin Cossman and Chance Drake will both be attending Garden City Community College, with Gabe Caldas and Wyatt Charlson signing up to play at Fort Scott Community College.

Michael Max signed on to play at McPherson College.

The Indians also had six girls’ soccer players sign letters of intent on Wednesday, with Bailey Snyder, Jennifer Then and Kristen Thompson all signing on with Fort Hays State.

Kayla Faust, Courtney Payne and Willie Stockton all signed to play at McPherson College.
