10U Titans win tourney

The Manhattan 10-and-under Titans baseball team won the AA division of the Hawaiian Hitfest tournament in the Kansas City metro area this weekend. The division had 20 teams.

In pool play Saturday, the Titans beat the Rampage of Overland Park 9-8 and the Kansas Stix-White of Olathe 9-1, then fell 3-2 to the Impact Express of Kansas City, Mo. That record qualified the Titans as a wild-card for the eight-team bracket. They then beat the Impact Express 10-9 to advance to the semifinals, where they beat the Northwest Thunder of Maryville, Mo.,12-3. In the finals, the Titans beat the Kansas Stix-Gold of Overland Park 16-10.

Team members include Trenton Brooks, Tegan Cain, Jake Cox, Gunner Ebert, Brady Foltz, Domenic Huber, Aidan Lee, Cameron Minihan, Mitch Munsen, Brett Seaton, Nathan Williams and B.J. Young. Coaches include Brent Cain, Trent Ebert, Scott Munsen and Ned Seaton.
