The best 4 (5, 6, whatever) years of your life

So, you're coming to Kansas State University for college. Or maybe you're just considering it. And you'd like to know what you're in for.

How are we supposed to know? What do you think we are, Nostradamus?

Well, OK, we can help a little.

First of all, K-State is a good school, so you'll get a good education if you put your mind to it. Really. The university likes to brag about itself, but hey, if you got it, flaunt it.

Manhattan is also home to Manhattan Area Technical College, Manhattan Christian College and nearby campuses of Highland Community College and Cloud County Community College. So there are lots of ways to get some education.

There's a lot to do here. There's good nightlife, predominantly in Aggieville, where you can have a cold one (if you're over 21!), catch a live show, or grab lunch. The community is big enough that there are lots of off-campus jobs that can help you pay the bills. There are lots of apartments and rentals for off-campus living. The people here are awfully nice, and they're accommodating to students, since the university is pretty much the reason the town exists.

What else do you need to know? Check out the links to the right that can hopefully answer some of the questions everybody has -- how to hook up the cable, how to buy textbooks, where to get a haircut, whatever.
