    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Publshed in The Manhattan Mercury on January 18, 2017. Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be heard on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 7:00 P.M. in the City Commission Room, City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue by the Manhattan Board of Zoning Appeals for the purpose of hearing all interested parties relative to a request for a VARIANCE under the terms of the Manhattan Zoning Ordinance of the City of Manhattan, Kansas, to allow for the increase of the maximum allowable sign size from forty (40) square feet to seventy-five (75) square feet for a proposed wall sign on a church located within an R-3, Multi-Family Residential District. This VARIANCE is for property located on the following tract of land: 2800 Claflin Road A complete legal description is available for public review at the address listed below. Comments will be heard at this hearing. A copy of the application is available for review in the Community Development Department, on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502.
