Responses (hereinafter "Bids") to this Request for Proposal and Bid (hereinafter "RFPB") will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Riley County, Kansas (hereinafter "Board") sitting as the governing body of Riley County Fire District #1, at the County Clerk's office at the Riley County Office Building until 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8th, 2017. The bids will be opened by the Board on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at 9:20 AM in the commission meeting rooml 15 North 4th Street, First Floor, Manhattan Kansas. Such bids shall include the following: Build an M-900 Series 6x6 Military Surplus truck supplied by the Fire District to the specifications listed in the RFPB package as the M900 Series Fire Truck Buildout Package. All bids shall be completed and returned on or before 5:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8th, 2017. All bids shall be clearly marked "Fire Truck Buildout Bid." All bidders shall submit (2) complete copies of their proposal. Copies of the RFPB are on file and available for public inspection at the office of the Riley County Clerk, 110 Courthouse Plaza, Manhattan, Kansas 66502-6018. Interested bidders may secure a set of specifications and a Bid Form from Riley County Fire District #1, 115 N. 4lh Street, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.     PUBLIC NOTICE OF 2018 APPLICATIONS FOR USE OF SPECIAL ALCOHOL FUNDING Published in The Manhattan Mercury on February 19, 2017. The City of Manhattan, Special Alcohol Advisory Committee will accept applications for funding of alcohol and drug abuse programs for the calendar year 2018. Annual allocations will be available only in the instance that special alcohol monies are allocated by the Kansas legislature according to Kansas Statute 79-41a04: Local alcoholic liquor fund. Applications that incorporate the use to maximize alcohol and drug prevention programs in Manhattan will be given special consideration. Allocations will only be considered with submission of complete and accurate applications. Applications and related information are available on the City's website at http://www.cityofmhk.com.
